Mélia Gbaguidi is an associate in the Paris office and a member of the Private Equity and Funds/Investment Management Groups.

Ms. Gbaguidi’s practice focuses on investment funds and regulatory matters. She advises clients, including private equity firms and other asset managers, on all legal and regulatory matters relating to the structuring, formation, fundraising and operation of regulated and non-regulated investment funds. She also advises sponsors of private investment funds (private equity funds, real estate funds, debt funds, infrastructure funds, funds of funds) and their related operations and transactions.

Prior to joining Debevoise in 2023, Ms. Gbaguidi worked as an associate in the Luxembourg office of a Magic Circle law firm in its funds formation practice, and completed internships with various international law firms.

Ms. Gbaguidi received a Master’s Degree in Economic Law from Sciences Po Paris in 2019. She is also a graduate of Panthéon-Assas University where she holds a Bachelor’s in Private law (2016).

Ms. Gbaguidi is admitted to the Paris Bar. Her native language is French and she is fluent in English.
