Mark Flinn is a litigation counsel and a member of the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense group. His practice focuses on advising clients on government and internal investigations, securities enforcement defense, securities litigation, and regulatory compliance matters, particularly as they relate to accounting, auditing, and financial reporting issues. He regularly represents public companies, financial institutions, asset management firms, accounting firms, and individuals in enforcement investigations and proceedings brought by the Securities Exchange Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
Mr. Flinn joined Debevoise in 2015. He received his J.D. in 2015 from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a senior editor of The Tax Lawyer. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration cum laude from James Madison University in 2009, with a major in accounting.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Flinn was an auditor at KPMG LLP. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
