Debevoise Names Seven New Counsel and International Counsel

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announces that Mark Flinn, Sarah Jacobson, Leah Martin, Saurabh Prabhakar and Jillian Wright have been named counsel to the firm, and that Paul Eastham and Felix Paterson have been named international counsel to the firm. Their promotions became effective on July 1.

Mark Flinn is based in the Washington, D.C. office and a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group. His practice focuses on advising clients on government and internal investigations, securities enforcement defense, securities litigation and regulatory compliance matters, particularly as they relate to accounting, auditing and financial reporting issues. Mr. Flinn received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2015 and his B.B.A. cum laude from James Madison University in 2009. He is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and Virginia Bar.

Sarah Jacobson is based in the New York office and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Her practice focuses on advising corporate clients and private equity firms in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other significant corporate matters. Ms. Jacobson received her J.D. magna cum laude from Fordham Law School in 2015 and her B.S. from Boston University in 2006.

Leah Martin is based in the Washington, D.C. office and a member of the Antitrust Group. Her practice focuses on advising clients across a wide range of industries on antitrust litigation, civil and criminal investigations, and merger clearances in transactions reviewed by the U.S. antitrust agencies. Ms. Martin received her J.D. from New York University in 2014 and her B.A. from Columbia University in 2009. She is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and Maryland Bar.

Saurabh Prabhakar is based in the San Francisco office and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group. His practice focuses on trade secrets, patents, antitrust and copyright matters in a wide array of technology areas. Mr. Prabhakar received his J.D. with high honors from George Washington University Law School in 2014 and his B.E. with distinction from Birla Institute of Technology in 2001. He is admitted to the California Bar and District of Columbia Bar.

Jillian Wright is based in the New York office and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Her practice focuses on advising corporate clients and private equity firms in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other significant corporate transactions across a broad range of industries. Ms. Wright received her J.D. from University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 2015, graduating with the highest academic standing, and her B.A. from Queen’s University in 2012. She is admitted to the New York Bar and Ontario Bar.

Paul Eastham is based in the London office and a member of the Tax Department. His practice focuses on general corporate and transactional tax advice, with experience advising a range of clients, including buyout, credit and venture funds, financial institutions and multi-national groups, on matters such as the formation and operation of investment funds, incentive arrangements and the structuring of M&A and secondaries transactions. Mr. Eastham completed the LPC at the College of Law in 2013 and received his B.A. from The University of Oxford in 2011.

Felix Paterson is based in the London office and a member of the Finance Group. His practice focuses on advising borrowers, lenders, sponsors, banks and funds on a range of financing transactions, with a particular focus on fund finance transactions. Mr. Paterson completed the LPC in 2012 and the GDL in 2011, both at the University of Law, and received his M.A. (Dubl) from Trinity College Dublin in 2010.
