Zachary Saltzman is a tenacious and strategic litigator with substantial trial/hearing experience. Mr. Saltzman’s practice focuses on asset management litigation, sports disputes, and complex contractual disputes. He regularly advises hedge fund and private equity clients on potential litigation and represents them as plaintiffs and defendants, in complex, high-stakes litigation. He also represents multiple major sports leagues in connection with the application of the terms of their collective bargaining agreements.

In recognition of his cutting-edge work for clients, Mr. Saltzman is featured in Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under List (2023) and is recommended for General Commercial Disputes by The Legal 500 US (2022).

Mr. Saltzman joined Debevoise in 2012. From 2013 to 2014, he clerked for the Hon. Chief Judge Carol B. Amon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Mr. Saltzman received a J.D. magna cum laude from The University of Michigan Law School in 2012 where he was an articles editor on the Michigan Law Review, a Darrow Scholar, and a member of the Order of the Coif. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from New York University in 2008 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Mr. Saltzman is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey.
