Philip Rohlik is a member of the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense and International Dispute Resolution Groups whose practice focuses on international investigations, securities law and dispute resolution.
Mr. Rohlik’s varied practice has included representation of U.S. and multinational companies in complex litigation and investigations, as well as in cybersecurity and data privacy issues, with a particular focus on Asia. He is recognised by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific – Greater China (2024) for his anti-corruption and compliance practice and has been described as “very thorough and hands on.”
Based in Asia since 2011, Mr. Rohlik leads the firm’s dispute resolution team in Shanghai. He has represented clients from the financial services, pharmaceutical/healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, insurance and entertainment sectors, in connection with white collar litigation, regulatory investigations, responses to cybersecurity incidents, domestic and international arbitration and domestic litigation. Mr. Rohlik also regularly counsels corporate clients on regulatory issues arising in the course of their business around the globe or in connection with M&A transactions.
Mr. Rohlik joined Debevoise in 2000. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law in 2000 where he was an editor of the New York University Law Review. Mr. Rohlik received a B.A. summa cum laude with honors from St. Louis University in 1997. Mr. Rohlik served as a law clerk for the Hon. John T. Noonan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Rohlik is admitted to practise in New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and is a solicitor admitted to appear before the High Court of Hong Kong.
