Partner Alyona Kucher and associate Mikhail Movshovich from the Moscow office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP have joined the International Chamber of Commerce’s (“ICC”) Russia committee to prepare feedback on the new version of the Incoterms^® rules (Incoterms^® 2020).

The ICC Russia committee along with the national committees of other countries provides comments and proposals for the improvement of the current version of the rules (Incoterms^® 2010) to the ICC Incoterms^® 2020 Drafting Group,‎ taking into account Russian experience and practice.

The Incoterms^® rules reflect international commercial practice customary for international trade and have become the globally accepted contractual standard. The Incoterms^® rules were first published in 1936 and then have been regularly revised. Incoterms^® 2020 will become the ninth version reflecting the latest trends in the development of international trade and the most urgent practical issues.
