Melissa Muse is an associate in the firm's Data Strategy and Security and Intellectual Property Groups. Her practice focuses on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance work. She advises clients on incident response, risk management, data and AI governance, as well as intellectual property disputes and insurance regulatory issues.

Ms. Muse regularly writes for the Debevoise Data Blog on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance and fiduciary duties, enforcement under international data protection laws, and the development of regulations for artificial intelligence.

At Debevoise, Ms. Muse serves as a member of the Diversity Committee as a representative of the Native American Affinity Group.

Ms. Muse joined Debevoise in 2021. Ms. Muse received a J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2021, where she was on the editorial board for the Cornell International Law Journal and a member of the Moot Court Board. She received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.
