Mari Cardenas is an associate in the Litigation Department with a practice focused on a wide range of complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Cardenas joined Debevoise in 2018. From 2020 to 2021, she clerked for the Hon. Andrew L. Carter of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. From 2021 to 2022, she clerked for the Hon. Julio M. Fuentes for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and articles editor of the Human Rights Law Review. Ms. Cardenas received a B.A. from Princeton University in 2011.

Ms. Cardenas is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to appear before the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York and Third Circuit. She is fluent in Spanish.
