Maria Luiza J. Oliveira de Barros (“Lola”) is a corporate associate and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

Ms. Oliveira de Barros joined Debevoise in 2024. From 2022 to 2023, she was an international associate at the firm. She received her LL.B. from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in 2015. She also received a post-graduate degree in Corporate Structures and Transactions from Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2019. Ms. Oliveira de Barros received her LL.M. and the Wharton Business & Law Certificate from University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Throughout her career in Brazil, she was an associate at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados, Machado, Meyer, Sendacz e Opice Advogados and Clifford Chance.

Ms. Oliveira de Barros is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and is admitted to practice in Brazil and New York. She is fluent in English and Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.
