Keith Slattery is a member of the firm’s corporate department where he focuses on corporate governance.

Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Slattery held various senior positions at American International Group from 1998 to 2008. While at AIG, Mr. Slattery also served as lead counsel to the Director and Officer Corporate Division as well as the Financial Institutions Division.

Mr. Slattery has lectured frequently on corporate governance. His credits include “Doing Business Overseas: What Directors Need to Know,” organized by the National Association of Corporate Directors (2010); “Directors’ Exposures in Russia,” sponsored by Aon (2009); “Funds in Retreat: The Liability Landscape for Directors and Officers,” organized by Maloy Risk Services (2008); “Business Beyond Our Borders: International Insurance and Regulations Conference,” organized by Lockton (2008); “Nuts & Bolts of Managing a Private Equity or Venture Capital Firm,” organized by the Capital Roundtable – MasterClass (2008); and “What You Need to Know About Insurance in a Litigation,” hosted by Debevoise & Plimpton (2008). Mr. Slattery served as co-author of Appleman’s New York treatise on Director and Officer Indemnification and Insurance.

Mr. Slattery received his J.D. from Albany Law School of Union University in 1995 and his B.A. cum laude from St. Lawrence University in 1992.
