John M. Satira is a corporate associate based in the Washington, D.C. office and is a member of the firm’s National Security Group. His practice focuses on foreign investment and national security regulatory matters, including those that implicate issues related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).  

Mr. Satira joined Debevoise in 2024. He previously practiced at another international law firm and clerked for the Hon. Theresa Carroll Buchanan on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Mr. Satira received a J.D. magna cum laude from William & Mary Law School in 2017, where he graduated Order of the Coif and served as a lead articles editor for the William & Mary Law Review. He received a B.A. with honors and high distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in 2014.
