Jesse Hope is an associate in the London office and a member of the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Group. His practice focuses on international arbitration and complex multijurisdictional litigation.

Mr. Hope has experience in proceedings before the High Court, Court of Appeal and UK Supreme Court, as well as advising businesses and former government officials in matters concerning anti-bribery and corruption, allegations of unlawful arrest, sanctions and cybersecurity.

Mr. Hope has an active interest in business and human rights issues and public international law. He was a lead project author in the firm’s publication “UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights at 10: Impact on courts and quasi-judicial mechanisms” and has worked with a number of non-governmental organisations, including the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and Bail for Immigration Detainees. Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Hope interned at the United Nations Refugee Agency.

Mr. Hope joined Debevoise as a trainee solicitor in 2019 and completed his training in the London office. He graduated from Durham University with a BA (Hons) in 2015 and subsequently completed the GDL and LPC (with distinction) at BPP University.

Mr. Hope was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2021.
