Isabelle Canaan is an associate in the Litigation Group.
Ms. Canaan joined Debevoise in 2021. From 2022 to 2023, Ms. Canaan served as a law clerk for the Hon. Robert W. Lehrburger, United States Magistrate Judge, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Ms. Canaan received her J.D. from Columbia University in 2021, where she was a James Kent Scholar, a recipient of the Parker School Certificate of Achievement in Foreign and Comparative Law, and the executive online editor for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. She also received the Edwin Parker Prize for excellence in the study of international and comparative law. Ms. Canaan received an MPhil from the University of Oxford in 2018 and a B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago in 2016.
