Iben Vagle is a law clerk in the Litigation Department.

Ms. Vagle joined Debevoise in 2024. She received a J.D. as a James Kent Scholar and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar from Columbia Law School in 2024, as well as an LL.B with first class honors from University College London in the same year. While in law school, Ms. Vagle was awarded the Edwin B. Parker Prize in International Law, the Parker Certificate of Achievement in Foreign and Comparative Law, and the Human Rights Institute Commendation for Leadership and Commitment in Human Rights. She also served as the head articles editor of the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law and as a member of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team at UCL Law.

Ms. Vagle is the author of "The (Un)changing Face of ICJ Advocacy," Leiden Journal of International Law (2025).
