Hyun Young (HY) Kim is a corporate associate and a member of the firm’s Investment Management Group. Her practice focuses on advising sponsors of private equity funds, co-investment vehicles and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies including credit, buyout, infrastructure, real estate, fund of funds and mezzanine. Ms. Kim’s recent experience includes acting for clients such as KKR, Carmel Partners, Tishman Speyer and Prudential Capital Group.

Ms. Kim joined Debevoise in 2019. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2017, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and senior articles editor on the Columbia Journal of European Law. She received a Master of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge, King’s College in 2010 and received a B.A. from Columbia University in 2009. She is fluent in Korean.
