George Maguire, a retired partner, was a member of the firm’s Restructuring Group. He represented debtors and creditors and other parties in workouts and restructurings as well as in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Maguire was recommended by The Legal 500 US (2011).

Mr. Maguire was a contributing author to the Collier Business Workout Guide (Matthew Bender, 1992) and a former member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Committee on Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization.

Mr. Maguire joined Debevoise in 1986 and became a partner in 1994. He received his A.B. from Princeton University in 1980, his B.A. in Literae Humaniores from Oxford University in 1983 and his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 1986, where he was a member of the Law Review.
