Emily Kennedy is a law clerk in the Litigation Department.
Ms. Kennedy joined Debevoise in 2024. She received a J.D. from George Washington University with honors in 2024, with a concentration in National Security and Foreign Relations Law, where she was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar and recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award.
While in law school, she served as a student attorney with the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics in the Criminal Defense and Justice clinic. In addition, Ms. Kennedy served as a law clerk in the Criminal Division, Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps, as well as an honors intern with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Office of the General Counsel.
Prior to law school, Ms. Kennedy served as a litigation paralegal at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and within the Criminal Division, Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice. She received a B.A. from Geoge Washington University in 2017.
