Elizabeth (Liz) White is an associate in the Litigation Department.

Ms. White joined Debevoise in 2022. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2022, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a recipient of the David M. Berger Prize in International Law, Human Rights Institute Commendation for Leadership and Commitment in Human Rights, and Parker School Certificate of Achievement in Foreign and Comparative Law. She also served as the head notes editor for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. Ms. White received an LL.M. cum laude in International Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam in 2022, and a B.A. cum laude with highest distinction from Duke University in 2017.

Ms. White is the author of Closing cases with open-source: Facilitating the use of user-generated open-source evidence in international criminal investigations through the creation of a standing investigation mechanism, 37 Leiden Journal of International Law 228 (2024) and Towards a New Normal: Digitization of International Criminal Law in the Age of Coronavirus, 60 Columbia Journal of Transnational Law Bulletin (2021). She is fluent in French.
