Dimitra Karakioulaki is a corporate and litigation associate and a member of the Antitrust & Competition, Arbitration & International Disputes and Funds/Investment Management Groups. Ms. Karakioulaki joined Debevoise in 2024, having held various positions at academic institutes and non-governmental organizations across the United States and Europe; among them the Human Rights Institute at Columbia Law School and the Clooney Foundation for Justice. Ms. Karakioulaki holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in New York, awarded in 2022, and an LL.M. from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, awarded in 2021. During her studies she has received numerous awards, including a Human Rights Institute Commendation for Leadership in Human Rights and the Parker School Award of Achievement in International and Comparative Law. Her academic achievements have also earned her a Harlan Fiske Scholarship and a Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship, among others. She received an LL.B. from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2020. Ms. Karakioulaki is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Thessaloniki Bar Association, and the Frankfurt Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the United States, in Greece and as a griechische Anwältin and Attorney-at-law in Germany.Ms. Karakioulaki is a native speaker of Greek, is fluent in English and German, and is proficient in French.
