Darius Tencza is Of Counsel and a member of the firm’s Finance Group. He regularly represents banks and other large financial institutions in their lending and other investment activities. He also spends a significant amount of time on tax-exempt bond financings and on project and equipment finance matters. The Legal 500 USA (2012-2013) recommends Mr. Tencza in the Asset Finance and Leasing and Project Finance categories.

Mr. Tencza joined Debevoise in 1976 and became a partner in 1985. He received his B.A. from Seton Hall University in 1973 and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1976, where he was associate editor of the Law Review.

Mr. Tencza is a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel and is actively involved in the Private Placement Enhancement Project, the interdisciplinary group that has created model documentation for private placement transactions. He was the principal draftsman of those model documents.
