Alexandra Mogul is a corporate associate and a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Ms. Mogul advises domestic and non-U.S. financial institutions, Fintechs and industry trade associations on a wide range of regulatory, enforcement and transactional issues.
Ms. Mogul advises clients on a broad range of bank regulatory matters, with particular experience advising on the Consumer Financial Protection Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, the Bank Holding Company Act, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. She represents financial institutions in connection with their internal compliance programs, customer-facing documentation, new activities and products, M&A and strategic initiatives, and related regulatory applications and approvals from both U.S. federal and state bank regulatory agencies.
She also regularly advises on matters regarding cybersecurity and data privacy issues, anti-money laundering compliance programs and governance mechanisms and practices.
Ms. Mogul has experience conducting internal investigations and advising clients facing investigations and enforcement actions conducted by the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and state banking regulators.
Ms. Mogul joined Debevoise in 2016. Ms. Mogul received her J.D. from Fordham Law School cum laude in 2016, where she was an articles & notes editor of the Fordham Law Review. She received a B.A. from the University of Maryland in 2010. Ms. Mogul is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice in the Southern District of New York.
