Tricia Bozyk Sherno is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and helps lead the People Solutions Group, concentrating in employment and general commercial litigation and sensitive investigations. She has a broad-gauged employment law practice, with experience representing clients in matters involving discrimination and harassment, contracts, corporate raiding and compensation across a broad range of industries.
Ms. Sherno counsels employers on navigating sensitive personnel matters, such as reductions in force, terminations and internal investigations of alleged employee misconduct, including sexual harassment. She has extensive experience helping employers comply with federal, state and local employment laws and designing and negotiating employment policies, employment agreements, restrictive covenants, consulting agreements and severance agreements.
Ms. Sherno’s practice also focuses on employment matters in corporate transactions, including due diligence of employment-related liabilities in public and private mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Sherno is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice before the Southern District of New York. She belongs to the National Association of Women Lawyers and the New York City Bar Association, where she currently serves on the Committee on Labor & Employment Law from 2015 to 2022.
Ms. Sherno lectures frequently and publishes on developments in employment law. Ms. Sherno is a co-author of the Practising Law Institute’s 2023 edition of the “Privacy Law Answer Book.” She is a LexisNexis Practical Guidance Contributing Author. Ms. Sherno joined the firm in 2007. She received a J.D. earlier that year from Rutgers Law School (Newark). During law school, Ms. Sherno was a research editor of the Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Board. She received her undergraduate degree in Urban Studies from Columbia University in 2004.
