Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that James Grimwood, a leading private equity M&A lawyer, has joined the firm as a partner in its London office.

Originally announced in October, 2024, Mr. Grimwood’s arrival further expands and strengthens the firm’s growing M&A and private equity practices in London, positioning the firm to meet increasing demand from its financial sponsor clients in the UK and internationally.

Ranked as a leading lawyer by Chambers UK, Mr. Grimwood advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and corporate clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and complex corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Grimwood was a private equity M&A partner at another international law firm in London.
