Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Deputy Presiding Partner Nicole Mesard has been named a Mentor Honoree by Bisnow, a leading commercial real estate publication, for her efforts to guide and support women in the real estate space. This recognition is part of Bisnow’s 2024 New York Power Women Event on December 4th, which celebrates and honors some of the most powerful and influential women in the commercial real estate industry. As part of this recognition, Ms. Mesard participated in a Q&A interview where she discussed her career journey, the importance of finding her authentic voice and her advice for women starting their career in law. 
 
Nicole Mesard is Deputy Presiding Partner of the firm and a partner in the Real Estate Group, where she advises clients on all aspects of real estate law, including acquisitions and sales of retail and commercial properties, sophisticated financings, joint ventures, infrastructure transactions and restructurings of commercial real estate loans, including in bankruptcy. Ms. Mesard also serves as Chair of the Hiring Committee and Co-Chair of the Global Talent Initiative, and is a member of the firm’s Special Situations team.
