Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has been shortlisted for the Financial Times’ Innovative Lawyers North America awards in the “Innovation in New Services to Manage Risk” category. The firm was selected for its global and interdisciplinary Data Strategy and Security practice (DSS) and the approach taken by DSS to developing its people and their skills. As a result of this initiative, DSS is recognized across the industry as a hub of innovation at the intersection of data, technology, business and law. The winners of the awards will be announced at the FT’s annual awards dinner in New York on December 9.
The practice was previously recognized by this award program in 2022, when it won the “Innovation in Digitizing Legal Services” category for the Debevoise Data Portal, a groundbreaking suite of tools that helps clients address business critical data security and artificial intelligence regulatory issues. That same year and also for the Debevoise Data Portal, DSS Co-Chair Avi Gesser was recognized as an AI Visionary by Relativity.
The Financial Times’ Innovative Lawyers North America awards program recognizes the best in innovation from law firms and in-house legal teams across North America. Finalists for the awards comprise the top-ranked submissions from organizations that have demonstrated innovative approaches to deliver exceptional value to the legal profession and business communities.
