Debevoise partner Edwin Northover and international counsel Jan Buschmann and Tingting Wu have been named in China Business Law Journal’s (“CBLJ”) A-List: Growth Drivers.
The A-List recognizes the elite private practicing lawyers in China’s legal market. The final list is based on market nominations from more than ten thousand legal market participants, candidates’ own submitted supportive information, and independent research conducted by the editorial team.
Mr. Northover is Head of Financial Institutions and Corporate practices in Asia at Debevoise. He has a broad cross-border public and private mergers & acquisitions practice, with a particular focus on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and distribution agreements in the insurance industry, as well as transactions in the PE and venture capital space.
Mr. Buschmann is an international counsel Debevoise’s Hong Kong office. He has extensive experience advising global insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions on corporate transactions and the full range of regulatory matters. He also has particular expertise in complex reinsurance arrangements and regulatory capital issues.
Ms. Wu is an international counsel in Debevoise’s Shanghai office. She represents multinational companies and Chinese companies in a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, asset management, foreign direct investment in China, initial public offerings and compliance with U.S. securities laws and regulations. Ms. Wu has particular experience in representing multinational insurance companies.
