Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised Steven Cohen and Cohen Private Ventures in the acquisition of the rights to operate a team that will represent New York in TGL, the new tech-forward, primetime, team golf league developed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA TOUR. Mr. Cohen is the founder of the hedge fund Point72 Asset Management, a global multi-strategy asset management firm. Debevoise also advised Mr. Cohen on his purchase of the New York Mets baseball team in 2020.
