Five partners of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP have been recognized in Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under List,” which recognizes the most accomplished litigation partners across the U.S. and Canada. Partners named to the list are recognized as the “best and brightest” in their field and for handling high-stakes and precedent-setting cases.
The honorees represent a wide array of litigation expertise:
Ina Popova, partner in New York and Paris, focuses on international arbitration, international litigation and public international law. Ms. Popova represents private parties and States in a broad range of international matters, handling arbitration disputes, related court litigation and public international law issues.
Zachary Saltzman, partner in New York, has a broad practice involving complex commercial matters for clients across a range of industries, including private equity, sports & entertainment, and insurance, with an emphasis on asset management litigation and complex contractual disputes. Mr. Saltzman has significant experience litigating cases through trial in both state and federal courts.
Jane Shvets, partner in New York and London and a returning honoree on this list, focuses on white collar defense and internal investigations, in particular regarding compliance with corrupt practices legislation. Ms. Shvets also co-leads the firm’s sanctions practice, with the focus on enforcement of Russia sanctions in the US and elsewhere.
Laura Sinisterra, partner in New York, focuses on international arbitration and international litigation, concentrating in the mining and energy sectors, in which she regularly handles complex disputes arising out of Latin America.
Erica Weisgerber, partner in New York, focuses on restructuring and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Weisgerber advises clients on restructuring- and litigation-related issues arising in bankruptcy cases, out-of-court restructurings and other distressed situations across a diverse range of industries.
