Debevoise & Plimpton LLP’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice has once again ranked in the gold band for the United States and New York in the World Trademark Review’s WTR 1000, an annual guide that identifies the top trademark professionals in key jurisdictions. The 2023 edition recognized the firm’s trademark team for being “unquestionably one of the best in the country” and that “the depth of the team’s experience and expertise is matched only by the care they take in client service.” The guide also recognized two partners and one counsel for their outstanding capabilities:
David Bernstein, chair of the practice, is ranked in the gold band and described as a “world-famous IP expert” who is an “excellent litigator, very proactive, always on top of things, super smart and highly persuasive.”
Megan Bannigan, partner of the practice and ranked in the silver band, is described as a “trademark litigator attracting serious, national attention.” WTR also recognized Ms. Bannigan for her role in advising both StockX and MSCHF Product Studio in high profile cases against Nike.
Jared Kagan, counsel of the practice and ranked in the bronze band, is described as having “excellent legal abilities and knack for market surveys and experts.”
