Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised Resolution Life in a strategic partnership with Blackstone (NYSE: BX) for its life insurance and annuity consolidation business, combining Resolution Life’s global liability management platforms and Blackstone’s insurance asset management capabilities. The companies plan to raise $3 billion of new equity capital commitments, including a $500 million strategic investment from Blackstone, bringing Resolution Life’s overall equity capital base to more than $8 billion.
