Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner Patricia Volhard has been named by Financial News to its “Most Influential Lawyers” list.

The list profiles the most influential lawyers across Europe advising on large and innovative mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, IPOs, equity and debt capital markets transactions, regulation and employment law, or those in management roles leading top-tier firms or practices.

In naming Ms. Volhard to the list, Financial News describes her as “one of Europe’s leading private funds regulatory lawyers”, and notes that she is the “only lawyer on the board of German private equity association BVK.” It goes on to say that Ms. Volhard “made her name supporting European and US firms navigating the introduction of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive a decade ago”.

Ms. Volhard is a partner in Debevoise’s Frankfurt, Paris and London offices, advising private funds, including on the full range of European regulatory issues, and structuring funds for EU insurance companies and pension funds. She is consistently recognised by the major legal directories as a leader in her field.
