Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has been advising Women At The Table (“W@TT”), a Geneva-based civil society organisation that works in the democracy and gender equality space and promotes the voices of women at decision-making tables.
The firm’s teams in London and New York have assisted W@TT with the development and release of the G-App, a tool which measures the active participation of women in international conferences, capturing the capacity and delegated authority, proportion of time and topics on which women speak at international fora.
The G-App is designed to provide concrete metrics to evaluate representation, participation and influence of women at such conferences. It was premiered at the 2021 Paris Peace Forum, and W@TT is in talks with various other organisations who are interested in deploying the G-App.
The Debevoise team has advised specifically on the terms and conditions of the G-App, as well as the agreement between W@TT and its partner organisations, and on intellectual property and licensing aspects of the G-App.

The Debevoise team advising W@TT included partner Henry Lebowitz, international counsel Vera Losonci, and associates Milo Gordon-Brown and Emily MacKay.
