Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced today that Eddy Park has joined the firm’s New York office as counsel in the Real Estate Group. In his new role, Mr. Park will focus on advising all types of real estate investors, including asset managers, private equity fund sponsors, hedge funds, developers, family offices and sovereign wealth funds on a full scope of real estate transactional needs.
Mr. Park brings to the firm a breadth of experience advising clients on a broad range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings and corporate matters.
“Eddy’s extensive transactional experience across a diverse range of real estate transactions, combined with his in-house knowledge, will bolster our ability to meet the strong and growing demand of our clients for practical, commercial and multidisciplinary real estate transactional advisory services,” said Peter Irwin, Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Group.
Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Park served as associate general counsel at the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), where he advised transaction teams on structuring and negotiating conventional and affordable multifamily mortgage loans. Earlier in his career, Mr. Park worked in the real estate groups of other international law firms. Mr. Park received his B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from University of California, Berkeley.
