Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised on a deal named by CEE Legal Matters, Central and Eastern Europe’s premiere legal publication, among its 2020 Deals of the Year.
The deal saw Debevoise advising BNY Mellon in its role as the depositary bank in Ignitis grupė’s €450 million offering in the form of shares and global depositary receipts, and the listing of the shares on Nasdaq Vilnius and the global depositary receipts on the London Stock Exchange.
The deal won the Lithuania category of CEE Legal Matters’ annual awards. Finalists for the peer-selected awards were identified by a panel of legal experts in each country, with winners determined by a second group of experts with widely-recognized regional expertise and experience.
The Debevoise team that advised BNY Mellon in the listing was led by international counsel Vera Losonci, and included associate Laurence Hanesworth.
