Debevoise partner Catherine Amirfar and senior associate Nelson Goh have contributed a chapter – Tribunal Jurisdiction and the Relationship of Investment Arbitration with Municipal Courts and Tribunals – to Springer Reference’s Handbook of International Investment Law and Policy. In the chapter, the authors consider the various methods used by states and arbitral tribunals to regulate multiple proceedings.

The authors were assisted in the preparation of the chapter by Debevoise lawyers Duncan Pickard, Juan Fandino and Agustin Spotorno.

Catherine Amirfar is a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Public International Law Group. Her practice focuses on public international law, international commercial and treaty arbitration and international and complex commercial litigation. She is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Nelson Goh is a senior associate in the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Group. His practice focuses on international arbitration, investor-state disputes, public international law and complex multijurisdictional litigation.
