Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner Antoine Kirry has been elected the new president of Association Droit & Procédure by the members of the board of directors. He succeeds Muriel Cadiou.
Among the oldest associations in judicial circles in France, Droit & Procédure focuses on the continuing legal education of the legal profession in areas involving the rule of law, with emphasis on procedural matters, through seminars and publications. A recognized center of expertise, Droit & Procédure proposes and reviews draft legislation relating to procedural subjects, contributes to academic works and supports the practices of lawyers and other members of the legal profession.
A member of the Paris and New York bars, Antoine Kirry has been a partner of Debevoise since 1996. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group, and heads the practice in the Paris office.
Mr. Kirry was a member of the board of directors of Droit & Procédure from 2003 to 2011, and has been a member of the board again since 2018. He is deeply involved in activities involving the bar and the judiciary. He has been lecturing at ENM (the school of the judiciary) and EFB (the school of the bar) among others, and he has been working on several working groups, in France and internationally, dedicated to the rules and practices of judicial procedure and other forms of dispute resolution.
