Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised long-time client AIA Group (“AIA”) in an offering which has been recognised as “Bond Deal of the Year” by FinanceAsia in its annual Achievement Awards.

The $1.75 billion offering of 3.2% subordinated fixed rate securities, due in 2040, was AIA’s inaugural subordinated securities offering under its $10 billion Global Medium Term Note and Securities Programme. For more details, see AIA’s press release here.
