Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partner Jane Shvets has been named White-Collar Crime Lawyer of the Year in the second annual Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards.
The awards recognize excellence in the disputes and litigation market throughout Europe over the past 12 months. Run by Euromoney publication Benchmark Litigation, the scheme is based on research for the Benchmark Europe publication, as well as supplementary surveys and research in January and February 2020.
In addition to the win for Ms. Shvets, Debevoise was shortlisted in several other categories of the awards. They include shortlistings for Firm of the Year in Germany, the UK, Commercial and Transactional Disputes, and International Arbitration, as well as individual shortlistings for Lord Goldsmith KC in the UK Lawyer of the Year and Commercial & Transactional Disputes Lawyer of the Year categories.
The accolade comes on the heels of Ms. Shvets being named to Global Investigations Review’s “40 Under 40” list, which highlighted “the next generation of accomplished young investigations specialists.” She has also been named “Best in White Collar Crime” at the LMG Europe Women in Business Law Awards 2019, and recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law360.
As a litigation partner and a member of the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group, Ms. Shvets focuses on white collar defense and internal investigations, in particular regarding compliance with corrupt practices legislation and compliance assessments. Ms. Shvets also advises multinational clients on data protection and cybersecurity matters as well as a wide range of sanctions issues.
