The Frankfurt office of Debevoise has advised VINCI Energies in its acquisition of Converse Energy Projects GmbH (Converse) from Schneider Electric GmbH.
Converse, a Schneider Electric GmbH subsidiary, is specializing in turnkey industrial power distribution projects in Germany.
With an annual revenue of about €140 million, Converse has 300 employees at 22 sites across the country.
The move is accompanied by a long-term cooperation and supply agreement with Schneider Electric GmbH.
The acquisition is subject to approval by the competition authorities. VINCI Energies is a subsidiary of VINCI and specializes in energy and information and communication technology services.
In 2018, it had revenue of €12.6 billion, with 77,500 employees across 53 countries.
The Debevoise team advising VINCI Energies was led by international counsel Philipp von Holst and included international counsel Klaudius Heda, senior associate Johanna Marniok and associate Jan Schoberwalter. Antitrust advice was provided by senior associate Dr. Andrea Pomana.
