Debevoise & Plimpton partner Bruce Yannett will serve as event chair and will moderate a panel on the globalization of anti-money laundering enforcement at the 6th Annual GIR Live New York on October 8.
The panel session, “Globalization of AML Enforcement and Lessons Learned to Develop Best Practices,” will explore lessons from the Nordic AML crisis, the role of AI in AML detection, and whether regulatory exposure has changed for AML compliance professionals in light of recent enforcement actions.
GIR Live New York brings together prominent individuals to deliberate over developments and trends in the investigation’s world. This year’s event will feature two keynote speeches from Brian Benczkowski, Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice and Linda Lacewell, Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services.
Bruce Yannett is Deputy Presiding Partner at Debevoise & Plimpton and Chair of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Practice Group. Mr. Yannett focuses on white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement, and internal investigations.
