Winston M. Paes, a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement actions and internal investigations, will be a featured speaker at The Attorney-Client Privilege and Internal Investigations 2019 panel at the Practising Law Institute (PLI).

The August 6 event, which will be hosted in New York and broadcast remotely, is designed for attorneys who want to learn about legal ethical and practice concerns when conducting internal investigations. Topics discussed will include ethical issues and best practices specific to investigations, how best to handle conflict of interest issues in the representation and interview of company employees, privilege issues arising from cooperation with the government and recent trends in government agency approaches to internal investigations, cooperation and waiver of privilege.
