Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising FWD Management Holdings, the Hong Kong registered business of FWD Group, in its acquisition of MetLife Limited and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of Hong Kong Limited (collectively “MetLife Hong Kong”) from MetLife Inc. (NYSE: MET).

The acquisition will increase FWD’s market share in Hong Kong and reinforce its position within the city’s insurance market. The transaction is subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.

MetLife Hong Kong, a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife, Inc., one of the largest life insurance companies in the world, offers innovative life insurance, investment-linked insurance, accident and health insurance to the residents of Hong Kong.
