Debevoise & Plimpton partner Rebecca F. Silberstein will chair the International Bar Association’s 30th Annual Conference on the Globalisation of Investment Funds. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the conference. The event, held in New York, attracts delegates from approximately 30 countries and features presentations by senior regulators from around the world, senior executives of top fund managers and leading practitioners in the field.

Ms. Silberstein has been a leader of the International Bar Association’s Investment Funds Committee for over a decade, serving as 2017–2018 Co-Chair of the Committee. She has led the conference’s Organizing Committee and will deliver opening and closing remarks at this industry-leading event. Additionally, she will join panelists to discuss hot topics and innovations in alternative asset classes, including private equity, debt, infrastructure, real estate, and credit funds. Over the past decade, Ms. Silberstein has also participated as a speaker and moderator at various other conferences hosted by the IBA.

Ms. Silberstein is Co-Head of Debevoise’s Private Equity Group and has built a leading fund formation practice over her 25 years at the firm. She is consistently ranked in the top band for private equity fund formation by Chambers USA, where she is described as a “luminary” in the industry. She is the 2018–2021 Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds Committee, a former Chair and leading member of the Private Investment Funds Forum, and an Advisory Board Member of the Private Equity CFO Association.
