Debevoise & Plimpton partners Andrew M. Levine and Jeremy Feigelson will speak about emerging developments impacting the anti-corruption landscape at the 2018 Latin Lawyer and GIR-Live Anti-Corruption & Investigations Conference. For the sixth consecutive year, Mr. Levine will co-chair the October 18th event, which brings together leading lawyers and compliance professionals in São Paulo, Brazil to discuss the latest trends in managing anti-corruption issues and navigating investigations.
Mr. Levine, a litigation partner whose practice focuses on white collar and regulatory defense, internal investigations and a broad range of complex commercial litigation, will moderate a conversation focused on the critical role of a company’s board of directors during a corporate crisis. Anticipated areas of discussion include the board’s proper role relative to management’s, how to conduct a truly independent internal investigation and best practices for after the storm passes.
Additionally, Mr. Feigelson, co-chair of Debevoise’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice, will address the next frontier of data privacy, as evolving standards of data privacy may impact corporate investigations, due diligence and a company’s day-to-day global operations.
