Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised Russian carrier Nordwind Airlines ("Nordwind") on a long-term lease of three new Boeing 737-800 aircraft from CDB Aviation Lease Finance DAC. Two aircraft have already been delivered.

Nordwind plans to operate aircraft on domestic and international routes thereby expanding its regular flights network.

Earlier this year, Debevoise also advised Nordwind on operating leases for seven new Embraer E190 aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital, and one Airbus A321-200 and one Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from Aircastle.

The Debevoise team advising Nordwind was led by Moscow international counsel Dmitry Karamyslov, and included Moscow associates Dmitry Stakheev and Tamara Kulyk. Tax advice was provided by London associate Patrick Fasoro.
