Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising the Special Committee of the Board of Directors of BGC Partners, Inc., a leading global brokerage company servicing the financial and real estate markets, on BGC Partners’ acquisition of Berkeley Point Financial, a leading commercial real estate finance company. The transaction is valued at $875 million and is expected to close during 2017.

Debevoise also advised on BGC Partners’ contemporaneous $100 million minority investment in a new commercial real estate-related finance and investment business alongside Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P.
