Ms. Berthou and Ms. Selden won in the asset management category; Mr. Lyons was selected in the banking category; and Mr. Rinker was chosen in the private equity category. Erica Berthou is a corporate partner who leads the firm’s Global Investment Management/Funds Group and is a member of the firm’s Management Committee. Her practice focuses on advising sponsors of open- and closed-ended private investment funds, co-investment funds, fund of funds and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including buyout, growth, venture, infrastructure, energy and power, real estate, debt, distressed and credit opportunities.
Gregory J. Lyons is a corporate partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Mr. Lyons focuses his practice on serving the needs of financial institutions, as well as private equity and other entities that invest in financial institutions and their assets, with a particular emphasis on domestic and cross-border bank regulatory, transactional and examination matters. His practice includes U.S. and foreign bank regulatory, formation, merger, conversion, structuring securities and securities finance work, risk capital and trust matters and corporate and securities law matters.
Kevin A. Rinker is a corporate partner and leader of the firm’s Healthcare Group, and is a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups. Mr. Rinker has a broad-based transactional practice with extensive experience advising multi-national corporations and private equity firms in structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, investments, divestitures, licensing arrangements and other corporate transactions. He has handled matters across many industries, with a particular focus in the healthcare, technology, media and business services sectors.
Shannon Rose Selden is a litigation partner and member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Private Equity groups. Ms. Selden has a broad practice with a particular focus on the investment management industry. She represents hedge fund and private equity clients as plaintiffs and defendants in complex, high-stakes litigation of all kinds, including securities, contract, corporate governance, fiduciary, financing, and debt restructuring disputes. Ms. Selden has significant experience as lead counsel in state and federal courts and in advising on contested commercial matters.
