For the second consecutive year, M. Natasha Labovitz, corporate partner and Co-Chair of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP’s Business Restructuring & Workouts Group, has been named an “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer” by Turnarounds & Workouts. The 2015 list recognizes Labovitz for her work representing “Altegrity, cutting its $1.8 billion in indebtedness by 40 percent through restructuring agreement that provided unique form of new-money DIP financing, while eliminating make-whole claims and promising a fast-track timeline,” as well as her ongoing work leading “Standard General in highly publicized distressed investment in American Apparel, and Logan’s Roadhouse and Kelso & Company in privately-negotiated senior secured note exchange.” Labovitz was one of only 12 lawyers honored.
Labovitz has extensive experience advising a range of clients, including private equity firms, fund investors and portfolio companies, in complex corporate restructurings and transactions, representing debtors and creditors in and out of bankruptcy and in cross-border insolvencies across multiple jurisdictions.
The full report, “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyers – 2015,” appears in the December 2015 issue of Turnarounds & Workouts, a monthly newsletter tracking distressed businesses in the United States and Canada.
