Debevoise & Plimpton LLP associate, Angus Fei Ni, has been awarded first runner-up prize at the inaugural Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre (YSIAC) Essay Writing Competition. The prize was awarded during the YSIAC Conference in Singapore.
Mr. Ni’s essay focusses on the role of third-party funding in international arbitration, analyzing the current state of the third-party funding industry, and addressing some of the most common criticisms of it.
The competition was the first of its kind run by the YSIAC, with the prize winners announced at the organization’s annual conference on 4th June. Entries came in from lawyers in 20 different countries.
