Mathieu Voos is an associate and a member of the firm’s Funds/Investment Management Group in Luxembourg.
Mr. Voos’ practice focusses on the structuring, setting-up, registration, administration and liquidation of all types of regulated and unregulated funds (limited partnerships, UCITS, SIFs, SICARs, RAIF), with a particular focus on alternative investment structures and private equity. He also represents institutional and other investors in connection with their private equity investments.
Mr. Voos provides ongoing regulatory advice for Luxembourg funds, as well as related areas of funds business and transactions. He is recommended for Investment Funds by The Legal 500 EMEA (2024).
Mr. Voos is an active member of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA). He chairs the LPEA’s Legal –Young PE Leaders Committee, and is a member of the LPEA’s unregulated funds technical committee. He also serves on Invest Europe’s European Long Term Investment Funds Task Force.
Prior to joining Debevoise, Mr. Voos spent seven years in the Luxembourg office of a Magic Circle firm, where he was a senior associate. In 2017, Mr. Voos undertook a full-time secondment as a consultant at the European Investment Bank. In that same year, he was also seconded to the Luxembourg branch of a UK global banking and financial services company.
